March, 2004 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates presents to Project Management Institute on “Common PMO Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them”.

SCA recently presented to the Project Management Institute on the theme of common pitfalls that need to be avoided in setting up project management offices.









January, 2004 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates engaged by Walsworth Publishing Company for project management audit services.

SCA has been engaged to perform project management audit services for Walsworth Publishing Company, the fourth largest year book publishing company in the United States. This audit will use SCA’s proprietary survey services to help establish current project management practices and then provide process improvement recommendations that will enhance these services to support overall corporate and IT strategy objectives.










August, 2003 – Omaha, Nebraska. SCA engaged by Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society's fraternal strategy development services.

Based on previous successes in developing corporate and functional balanced scorecards, SCA has been asked to help facilitate a fraternal strategy that will focus on the creation of a relevant, unique and sustainable focus for the 113 year-old program of Woodmen of the World. The fraternal program is the core mission of the Society, one of the three largest and oldest in the United States.










June 30, 2003 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates completes initial Balanced Scorecard for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society.

SCA has completed the initial corporate Balanced Scorecard for Woodmen of the World. Transforming the way it intends to manage and measure corporate strategy, Woodmen is making the Balanced Scorecard the permanent centerpiece of the Society's strategy management going forward. By making the Society a strategy focused organization, it intends to turn around a ten year declining membership trend and once again make Woodmen a growing fraternal benefit organization.










June 1, 2003 – Omaha, Nebraska. SCA has been engaged by Woodmen of the World to facilitate strategic management services.

Strategic Consulting Associates has been engaged by Woodmen to provide on-going strategic management services. SCA will facilitate Woodmen’s Strategic Planning Group with the goal of making strategy a continuous process and constantly improving Woodmen’s overall competitive position.










April 1, 2003 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates engaged by Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society for development of IT Balanced Scorecard.

SCA has been working with Woodmen of the World to develop an IT Balanced Scorecard for the purpose of creating alignment between Woodmen’s corporate and IT strategies. Recognized as an original thought leader in the use of he IT Balanced Scorecard, SCA will work with Woodmen IT management to define appropriate IT objectives that support overall corporate objectives and increase over time the value of all IT services provided to the Society.










March 31, 2003 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates completes Project Office services for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society.

SCA has completed consulting services associated with helping to create a new project (management) office within Woodmen’s Information Services division. This 6 month project worked with the new project office director in Information Services to develop and implement this new organization where centralized project services are provided to the entire corporation.









February 1, 2003 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates engaged by Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society for ongoing Balanced Scorecard management services.

Based on the value provided by SCA in the development of a corporate Balanced Scorecard system, SCA has been chosen by Woodmen to provide on-going strategic planning and management services. These services will include consulting with Woodmen’s Strategic Planning Group on corporate strategy as well as working with functional division managers in the on-going management of their supporting scorecard programs.

Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society is transforming the way it intends to manage and measure corporate strategy by making the Balanced Scorecard the centerpiece of the Society's strategy management going forward. Woodmen has chosen SCA to help the Society's new Strategic Planning Group build and implement the Balanced Scorecard effort throughout all divisions of the corporation. By using the Balanced Scorecard, the Society will develop a strategy management reporting system that is accurate, objective and timely in its measurement of the effectiveness of the Society's strategy and to effectively direct limited resources.










August 29, 2002 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates engaged to provide Project Office services for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society.

Strategic Consulting Associates has been selected to help Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society develop and implement a Project Office for the Society’s Information Services division. The Project Office will serve all divisions of the Society in delivering project management services by either managing projects directly or providing mentoring and advisory services to other Society divisions.

Strategic Consulting Associates of Omaha, Nebraska has just completed the implementation of a Program Management Office for Micro Warehouse. Program management is the centralization of all project management services within an organization. Working with senior Micro Warehouse IT and corporate management SCA designed, developed and implemented a PMO structure for managing all corporate and IT projects

January 2, 2002 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates Completes IT Balanced Scorecard training for Accent.

Omaha consulting firm Strategic Consulting Associates has completed a training engagement for Accent Inc., a subsidiary of Omnium Worldwide. Accent, a nationwide provider of health insurance cost containment services, makes use of the Balanced Scorecard at the corporate level and was looking to use BSC concepts to improve strategic thinking and performance management within the Information Technology organization.

January 1, 2002 – Omaha, Nebraska. SCA to design, build and implement Project Management Office for Micro Warehouse, Inc.

Micro Warehouse, Inc. has chosen Strategic Consulting Associates to develop and manage the initial implementation of a corporate-wide Program Management Office. Micro’s PMO will handle all technology and non-technology projects and will centralize all project delivery services and project management resources. Additionally, SCA will work with Micro Warehouse to develop and implement management and software engineering methodology within its information technology division.










October 16, 2001 – Omaha, Nebraska. Strategic Consulting Associates engaged for IT strategy training services using the IT Balanced Scorecard.

Accent, Inc., a subsidiary of Omnium Worldwide, is transforming the way it intends to manage and measure Information Technology strategy by making the Balanced Scorecard the centerpiece of the division’s performance improvement efforts. Strategic Consulting Associates, a leader in the application of the Balanced Scorecard to Information Technology operations, will lead a training program for Omnium IT senior management in the use of the Balanced Scorecard.










August 1, 2001 – Omaha, Nebraska. SCA provides project management services for Sales Force Automation application.

Strategic Consulting Associates has been selected to provide project management services for a $6.5 million Sales Force Automation project. This project is intended to overhaul end-to-end sales processes and will be based on a web services architecture that includes Microsoft.NET as well as SunONE technology. SCA will manage over 50 technology staff personnel including client and consultant staff as well as provide software engineering and project management methodology knowledge transfer.
